Lawyers For Energy, Environment, And Development (LEED) Limited, founded in 2019 in
Bangladesh, strongly emphasizes fostering academic collaboration and knowledge exchange within the realms of
energy, environmental law, and sustainable development. Through its dynamic guest researcher program, LEED
actively invites scholars and practitioners from around the globe to contribute to its research initiatives
and enhance scholarly discourse.
Over the past five years, LEED has hosted distinguished researchers from diverse geographic regions,
including Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. Scholars from countries such as India, Nigeria, the
United States, Germany, and Japan have brought their unique perspectives and expertise to LEED's research
projects, enriching the organization's reputation as a hub for cutting-edge energy, environmental policy,
and sustainable development research.
LEED offers its guest researchers access to a specialized library focusing on energy law, environmental
regulations, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development practices. Additionally, LEED
facilitates collaboration and knowledge sharing with legal scholars and professionals from Bangladesh and
beyond through seminars, conferences, and collaborative research projects.

Research Project
LEED has effectively concluded a research project in collaboration with the Bangladesh Working Group on
External Debt (BWGED) and the Coastal Livelihood and Environment Action Network (CLEAN). The project
involved consolidating various policies and regulations from existing energy laws in Bangladesh. LEED Team
Members summarized and presented these rules and guidelines in a clear and accessible manner for the general
public.
